What to look for in a pool service company...

custom pool, weekly maintenance, pool service, jandy, pentair, pool chemicals

What should a homeowner look for in a pool service comany? Here are a few tips!

When it comes to pool service, you can get the guys who "fly by night" or you can find the company with experience, professionalism and knowledge. Your service company will be in your yard weekly during the swimming season, so you should choose a company with a proven track record. Don't be afraid to ask whether the company does background checks on employees!

Weekly Service: For weekly service, it should cost from $55- $85. This is based on a residential pool and will be higher if there is a spa included.

Be careful- ask what the weekly maintenance will include. Will it include checking the chemicals or checking and changing? We do not include chemicals with our maintenance because the prices fluctuate through the year. So if a company wants to charge more but includes chemical costs, don't be afraid to ask whether that cost will go up when chemical prices rise. It usually costs less to maintain a salt system.

We are a member of the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals (APSP). We are also a Jandy Regional Service Center and a Pentair Service Center. These qualifications can assure a homeowner that we are: a) certified to perform the work at your home. b) trained in the latest and most correct techniques for pool maintenance and build.

If you have any questions or concern about the pool company you're working with, just ask for references! Any reputable company wants to let you talk to their clients. Remember, it's experience and knowledge that make a pool service company a winner! apsp member
